Tentang Sains Komputasi S2 - Institut Teknologi Bandung
In the past decade, subjects which strengthen student's computational skill have always been an important part of the curriculums of study programs at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA ITB). Each of the study programs offers at least 10% of Bachelor courses and 20% of Master courses which heavily contain computational materials. The research of staffs and students at FMIPA has also emerged towards a similar trend. The number of publications, final projects, thesis, dissertation which topics are in computational science has increased significantl,y in the last decade. Additionally, research collaboration between FMIPA's researchers with their peers in both academia and industries has also been condljcted. For example, academic collaboration has been conducted with Japan (Kanazawa Unjversity, Osaka University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Kyoto Unversity, Gunma Observatory), Australia (University of Ballarat, University of Newcastle), Pakistan (School of Mathematical Science, GC University), and the Netherlands (Twente University, RuG). In the other end, FMIPA has a strong industrial collaboration with ALLIANZ, Taspen, Telkom, RC OPPINET, and CONOCO-Philips.
